Howdy,
I'm thinking about getting an RO/DI filter but I have a few questions about them....
First off, looking at pictures of them, I can't figure out how they work. Do you pump water through them? Do they have some sort of source that they siphon from and then drain into another container? Also, I've seen some talking about garden hose adaptors? Do they all require a garden hose? I don't have a hose as I live in an apartment.
Second, do I need a RO/DI unit or just a RO unit? The water in my area's not bad. I'm not sure if I can afford an RO/DI....
Are they also benificial for freshwater tanks?
Also, could someone recommend a good one for a 46 gallon reef tank? I don't have a ton of money to spend, but on the other hand I don't want to waste my money on a junky one. I've looked around the internet but I like getting opinions on here also.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
