RO/DI Temperature

Hi everyone,
I have a new RO/DI system coming in later this week and was going over the hookup process and was wondering if I could run both the cold and hot water up to the unit using a mixing valve to regulate the temperature. My cold water line is always between 45 and 50 degrees in the winter and these filters run optimally at 70 or so.
Because I already have an Everpure filter system for my domestic water, the RO/DI unit will be strictly used for my aquarium(s). I have read one of the other threads about coiling 30 feet of tubing in a bucket and tossing in a heater. Using the mixing valve technique to me sounds easier and cheaper, but I'm not sure if I would be introducing some other problems with the addition of the hot water. Does anyone have some comment or suggestions?
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi, my RO/DI unit says absolutely NO hot water. Yours may be different but I think that hot water ruins the RO membrane. Not positive on that though. HTH

Yes you are right Buzzword, no hot water. I want to use a mixing valve that would bring the cold water temperature up to 70 degrees by introducing hot water into the system before the RO unit so actually it will not be hot water. Sorry for the confusion. I should have explained it better.
Thanks,
Bruce
