I got the same exact unit last week. It works fine, but a little slow. It might just be the water pressre in my Apt. Make sure you get a TDS meter alongs with it. Well worth $$ imo..

Search for 2004A on the same site to find the unit I bought. . A little cheaper. I bought the TDS meter and a booster pump for a total shipped price of $160. The unit itself was $43 +S/H. Cheap :D

I agree that the TDS meter is a must to measure performance. The booster pump will speed production.

Measures the Total Dissolved Solids. Lets you know how well the RO/DI is working. Sample your tap then the discharge of your unit. The # should drop significantly (should be 0). Also, if you can disconnect lines after certain stages, you can identify dirty filters or membranes. You really want to check water before the DI. If you still have a high TDS reading, the resin bed in that filter will not last long(these are the more expensive filters).

Filters are all very similiar(most having the same connections). I would go with price. The only difference is the housing, which you can see almost all look the same. Do a stage filter comparison ,as far as what type is in each stage, then decide yourself. I have heard praise for both units. Again, I would go with price.

I bought from the people who sold me the RO. It ships free with RO purchase for about $25. Search fro others who have the TDS meter and see what they have to say. I believe the seller tells you who maufactures theh meter, search fro info on it also.
