Chlorine is added by humans in drinking water systems of cities. Reverse osmosis reduces solids, nitrates and sulfates and other naturally occuring chemical processes such as sodium.
This is why when you use R/O water, a lot of people use additives for the tank. I believe some people have experienced PH issues with tanks thatt are R/O dependent.
If I'm wrong, Ill be happy to stand corrected but I believe this was some of the reasons I became sold on R/O water - since I'm never one to just a sales pitch from someone.
