RO Filter change gone wrong

I changed my filters in the RO water filter and I turned it on for a few mins to get it primed. Now when I shut the faucet off every other second it pumps out water from the membranes. It literally shoots them out like a gun. Its making a mess of water all over the place. I have had them drain before after fluishing it but it would go back to normal I guess. Im really ticked off at the thing I could pull out my shotgun and shoot it.

Yes, I dont know why it is doing this, or what is causing the problem.

it's shooting from the membrane housing or the filter housing ? maybe the auto shut off valve is stuck ? try giving a rap to pop it loose

It shooting out of the bad water tube. It drains like an inch from the carbon membrane and then stops.

check this , guarantee it's sticking, it's the auto shut off for the drain /fill.

I dont think I have one of those. I have the coralife 2gpd ro unit.

so if you don't have one, then that tells me you have to manually shut the incoming water off when you don't need ro water ? or does your system have a pressure tank and drinking faucet ?
