Many people mount their units under a sink.
RO units produce water slowly, they are usually rated in the dozens of gallons per day of production rate, so it's not like you can drop a
hose into a bucket and stand there while it fills.
They often come with a "pressure tank" that is used to store small amounts of water for on-demand use out of a little faucet at the top, but if you've got room for a bucket under the sink with a float valve, you could easily produce 5-6 gallons at a time.

$150 will definitely do the job.
It's difficult to go wrong with RO systems. They are one of the rare exceptions where no matter what "brand" you go with - even generic - you are usually getting pretty much the same thing. Google air water ice and you should find what you are looking for.
You want a 4 stage unit. This contains a prefilter, a carbon filter, the RO stage, and a DeIonizing stage. More stages are available but are not necessary. Get the largest GPD unit you can afford. The higher the GPD (gallons per day), the more water it will produce in a given timeframe.
