Hey guys,
Just wanted to let everyone know I FINALLY got an RO unit!!! I'm so excited--I can't wait for it to start working. Going to do a water change tomorrow night so it should be all ready by then. This one pumps out about 25gpd. :D :) :D

Way to go goldfish !
You'll be glad you got it. Good investment, and takes a lot of the wondering out of your fresh water quality.
Nice purchase
Enjoy

Thanks broomer!
This thing is really kicking out the water. It's set up right now in my laundry room sink pumping the water into a 30 gallon tank. It's a 35gpd system, but I don't need that much--only do about 15-20 gallon water changes. It's almost 3/4 way done and I turned it on only a few hours ago. It's working much quicker than I thought.
I plan to do a water change tomorrow night so I'll let you know how it goes. Should I look for any important changes? Will the ph level rise or lower since this is not freshwater? Are trites/trates affected by ro water?
Thanks!
:)

Just a note to you using your new unit. You should let it run for 24 hrs before using any of its water.Throw out the first 24 hr patch of water. My wife works for a company that makes RO filters and she said you should for sure do this flush out run. It usually says on the unit to run it for 10hr, but wife says at least 24. The reason being there is residual production chemicals in the filters so they need to be flushed.

Got it at a lfs here in Cinci. Very reputable guy...I get everything from him. I paid $125--he's sweet and cuts me a deal! :)
