I have never hear of a premate tank. But I paid 150 for a 4 stage, so I would say 199 for a 6 stage is great.... Who makes it, and question is are the replacement filters easy to get??

You can get a 6 stage ro/di with faucet and holding tank for $135 including shipping off of e-bay. Works well, I get the same readings from that unit as I did from my LFS RO/DI that costs .30 cents a gallon. I believe they are named filter direct.

hi i just found that r/o unit again its AHS6-100PPE 6 stage RO with Aquatic Permeate Pump for 199.95 by purewaterplanet. when i first posted i spelled it wrong this is how you spell it. i was just wondering if this is worth it and does it really save 80 % of waste water.
thanks Kathy

Hi, SOryy I don't know about that one but I bought the one from filter direct and I love it. It also has a auto shut off valve so when it's full it just turns off. So no waist water.

but don't ro units waste water as its making the good water or am i misunderstanding how they work cause i really want to get one but i have seen them alot cheaoer than 200.00 and if the cheaper one(90.00 to 120.00) does the same as this one i'd rather get the cheaper one i can't see spending more if that permeate pump really dosen't save any better than the others. but it looks just like the one pictured above
