RO water question

This is just a stab in the dark, but can the water collected in a dehumidifier be used in a reef tank. I've never used or have I ever tested a sample. The dehumidifier is located in my basement.
Also, a lfs sells a Tap Water Filter and I was woundering if they are any good.

It depends on if copper tubing is used. I am not aware if there are any other concerns or not. Deffinatly test for copper though.

Copper is bad!!!!!! also most of your regular tap filters do not have the right kind of filtration that is needed to get pure water.
