RO water

I have always used water from the sink with my fresh water tank. I was wondering if it would be ok to continue to use the tap water or should i switch to RO water. Thanks all. :help:

I also declorinate the water first.

ro water is best! never to late to start using it!

We also have a 30 gal freshwater tank. We have always used "treated" tap water that sits overnight at least. We use the directed amount of de-clorination/ammonia treatment

i used tap water on my 10 gallon fish tank, had a massive algae outbreak, so i bought a snail.. he cleaned it up great! but then he died and the algae started to grow really slow and really dark... so then i got into saltwater and learned about ro!
my freshwater tank is amazingly clear and clean now! i bet they are happy!

***) im trying to patiently wait for the cycle to go in my salt water... ***)
