rock dropping

I caught my clownfish dropping rocks into the anemone, I was wondering if this was normal and if so why is it doing this.

mine commonly picks small rock up and spits them out at random, the ones he or she cant flush out with their tails they will pick up and move it with their mouth, where they put it no one knows haha maybe yours just really hated that rock or rocks and wanted to get rid of it for good hahaha
