rock eating trigger

i know this sounds real dumb but my trigger who normally swims constantly has seemed to settle down. He still eats, even out of my fingers,

but he's always swimming up to the rock work and biting it,

then he will hide for 20 minutes and repeat. I've only had him about a month but he started this 3 days ago, has he gotten comfortable and relaxed or is he stressin?

Ive never really noticed mine hiding, but they do chew on the rock constantly for the fact of keeping their teeth filed down.
