Rock Formations

When you place your base or LR in the tank, do you just stack teh rocks on each other or do you connect them via silicone or something liek that?

Also, around how much do U.V.'s go for?

I just stack my rock.If you take the time you can really make it strong so it wont fall over.If you glue it,your kinda stuck with that look. I like mine stacked accross the back and sides of the tank.This leaves plenty of swimming room for the fish while also leaving alot of hiding places.A good UV will run you around $200.But this really depends on the manufacturer and the size. Make sure to get one with a quartz sleeve and a wiper if possible.The sleeve keeps the water off the bulb making it last longer and bulb replacement a snap.The wiper keeps the sleeve clean increasing it's effectivness.
