Rock hitchhikers

It's been a while since I've posted, and I'd kind of let my tank go to hell for the last couple of months. Everyone's ok, but in the time that my tank maintenance slipped to minimum levels a lot of hitchhikers have come out that were not there 2 months ago. I doubt they were actually there, maybe they just reproduced in just the last couple of months? When I first set this tank up last summer, there were a couple of little worm-like feather-duster type things that showed up on one of the rocks after a month or so in the tank. Nothing big, just every now and then I'd see the feather end sticking out of a little white tube. A little later, the tube would be there but the feather end was pulled back in. No big deal, I thought, looked kinda neat anyway.
Well, now, they are all over that one rock and also on most other rocks in the tank. Should I worry, do I need to get rid of them, do I have to replace all my rock to do it?
Have another question related to a Blue Tang I have with some disturbing behavior, but that's in another post in a few minutes.

Ok, nevermind, did a little research on hitchhikers and found they are harmless feather dusters. Just a little unnerved at the speed those suckers spread, there used to just be a few of them and they population went nuts in the last couple of months. Easily close to a hundred little feathers sticking out all over the place.
