What can i use in conjunction with live rock. I know it needs to be pourous. Would lava rock be a consideration? I think i read that lava rock is not what you want to use, but cannot remember. Suggestions as to what kind of rock i can get to suppliment the LR i get would be greatly aprieciated.

I believe that I read somewhere that lava rock is not a good thing to do. I only have LR so thats all I know about and am still learning.

lace rock, base rock or tufa rock
do not use lava rock, it has minerals in it, which can leech into your water, some of whihc are not a good thing for a sw tank
do not use feather rock though, it iss nice and porous, and safe, BUT it floats in water, a couple of others here have tried it, lol
