rodi vs distilled

i had been using distilled water to do all of my water changes for the first two months or so recently i found a grocery near by which sells rodi by the 5g jug....since i have been using the ro water it seems as though there are a lot more tiny white things floating around.....no correct me if i am wrong but isn't distilled water which is totally stripped of all contaminants....so why do people hype of ro water so much...isn't distilled water actually better?

Idon't know to much about distilled water, but RO/DI is cleaned through a series of filters. I do know it is very good for your tank and livestock.

You shouldn't worry about minerals in the water. RO is among the most (if not the 2nd most) pure form of water.
Your minerals will come from the salt you add to the water as well as additives. Mostly salt though. If we wanted all of the minerals from water, we'd be using spring water.

Most bottled ditilled water is purified by reverse osmosis, THEN it is distilled. I thought that was insanly pure water! It was mighty tasty too! Haha

The reason distilled water tastes better is because on the minerals they add. RO/DI water should contain nothing other than H2O. The total Dissolved Solids(TDS) or a properly working RO/DI unit should be 1 or below, PPM. By just distilling water, some solids are able to become a vapor during the process, then condense into the distilled water, making it sub-par to RO/DI H2O purity

I bought some distilled water at wall mart, but under the treatment process it says that it was reverse osmosis and ozonalysis (in smaller print). Does this RO water you guys buy say Reverse Osmosis in big print, or is it in smaller print? Did I buy distilled water or RO water?
