royal gramm rubbing off rock

Royal Gramma (had it for 1 day) has started rubbing itself off rock and sand on one side. There seems no obvious signs of whitespot etc. It is feeding well and looks fit enough.
Any ideas

I am having the same problem in my 120 except most of my fish are doing it. Should I just try the garlic therapy or should I use the bottle of meds I have because I don’t have any inverts in my tank.

Well sort of, I mean I have 3 ten gallons that I could use. Well about a month ago i started seeing white dots on my domino so I put him in a 10 gallon and treated him with ich meds till the spots went away, then put him back in the 120. I also looked at all my fish and none of them have the spots yet but I know that sometimes it takes a while to manifest itself. My trigger rubs the most and my tang never rubs but i have a few damsels that do too so when i said the whole tank I ment the majority.

In addition to the things pointed out above, check your PH and ammonia levels. If the PH is low, that may be the cause.

Thanx for the replies.
I have a 35G fish only set up.
Other fishes besides Gramma are 2 percs and a scooter blenny. Tank has been cycled and running for 5 weeks or so, water parameters are fine.
Other fish are not showing any symptoms.
I gave the Gramma a freshwater dip (bath?), and this morning it was not rubbing off rocks or sand.
I have purchased medication that says it treats most diseases, and doesn't harm invertibrates etc. I will keep a close eye on things.
