My tank has cycled, and I bought a royal gramma. He has already picked out his 'spot' underneath piece of dead coral that is in my tank. He took about a day to start seiming around, and is now exploring the tank, and seems fine.
Here is my question. We have a full length mirror that i put behing the tank so we can see the stuff behind the rocks. (not enough space behind the tank to get back there). Well, I was reading that royal grammas will defend their 'home' by making opening their mouths really wide in a thretening manner. I was not sure how good of an idea putting mirror behind the tank was, and now I am thinking that maybe I should get rid of it, as sometimes when he sees his reflection in it, he does this 'mouth display' at the mirror. Is this going to stress him out? He doesn't do it all the time, just occaisonally. We really would like to keep a mirror in back, but do not want to risk hurting the fish. Anyone have any opinions about this?
Thanks.... Joe
