Royal Gramma behaviour?...

Theres this royal gramma I really like and he has a funny habit of lying realllly tight in crevices, or jamming himself into a hole and wiggling for a while until his head sticks out.
Im worried he might be sick, but he does this all day long. Could it be ick? Maybe he's scratching at the parasites?...or is it just his normal behaviour? Its really funny sometimes :)
Also, I know its very very hard, but is there ANY criteria for sexing royal grammas?
Drew :)

My RG did that all the time. (Including hanging upside down with her back end squeezed in a crevice). I was worried, but she then she would swim around happy as can be. I think they are just like that.

Mine is the same way. He'll swim upside down under a ledge in a cave, "lay down" between rocks and substrate, but the coolest thing is his jaws. When my other fish come around his area he opens up wide and chases them off, looks like he's hissing. Reminds me of a snake or a dragon! Pretty cool fish to watch indeed.
