I just introduced my new royal gramma into the tank. My female false perc and my coral beauty angel are giving him a run for his money...is this normal??? How long does this last? They aren't nipping at him, but they chase him as soon as he gets anywhere near their established terrritories. Any help (advice...words of wisdom) with this would be greatly appreciated. :help:

I just introduced my RG into the tank. He had to endure a couple of scuffles with "the girls", but now he's out and about and seems to be doing just fine...he's so beautiful.

I think I've read somewhere that the RG doesn't like bright lights so they prefer to hang out in rock work. My first one was killed by a Psuedocromis (spelling) The one I have now, I have had for about 2 years and he is doing great. He comes out in the open a lot, but he does have a hiding place in the rocks.

Did you put him in a QT first? Just curious as I just got my 2nd (actually my 3rd ..I bought to clowns at the same time so they didn't need to be QT'd) fish and I just acclimated him (Tail Spot Blenny) to the QT. So this is the first time I have used a QT.
He went straight to a corner and laid on the bottom, I hope this is normal.

I want a Royal Gramma for my next fish

yeah he is fine now.....he comes out to eat and goes hide on the rocks.......
I am sure they get scare pretty easy though....When I ordered I though he was dead, but than with acclimation and some time, he is swimming and eating as normal...
