Is your tank fairly new like within a few months? Is the rusty looking stuff kind of look like dust? Probably a diatom bloom that will go away on it's own.

This rusty colored algae is most likely red slime algae. Its definately non harmful. In fact, i like the color it adds to the tank. Some algaes to look out for include hair and razor alagaes which have a quick growth rate and can easily take over a tank if not pruned.
Good Luck!

Thanks everyone on the reply.. I add a anemone, and some blue hermit crabs. I've had this tank setup for about a year and half. I have the anemone, 10 hermit grabs, sand sifter, 2 pecula clowns, and a yellow tang all in a 55 gallon. Only issue now is this 50/50 bulb strong enough for the anemone. I have two 18inch 50/50 lights thats times for 11 hours of run time a day. There only 55watts thou.. Im think on just getting the single long bulb across.. What do you guys think??
