They are spraying the olive trees on Friday and I have to be at work all day. So, shut all doors & windows, cover tank? turn off pumps? How long can the pumps be off safely?

In most cases, three hours is pushing it.You will need to find some way of airating that water or you will have problems....How close are these trees?? How long will it take them to spray??Hopefully the wind will be in your favor, and just closing the house will be enough...

Thanks Mr. Salty. The trees are EVERYWHERE. I live in an apartment complex which is unusual in terms of trees and grass for Tucson (in we have a lot). The A/C and air in our apartment is enclosed -- unless the windows or doors are open, it circulates the air from the apartment.
The Tank: Would airtones or an air attachment to my powerhead help? I will ask the maintenance man to have our side of the complex sprayed first. He can also come back in and turn my fish pumps back on when it is safe. I could also direct a couple of powerheads to break the surface of the water.
Should I also cover the tank?
Finally, I'm not sure how long this stuff lingers in the air... how long this "threat" will be. Anyone out there with experience?
