Rye: Camera Advice?

If you could choose a good all around indoor/outdoor camera between $400 -$500 dollars which one would you choose? My father-in -law is looking at the Kodak 6490, Olympus C-750 and the Cannon powershot A-80. I consider you one of the best photographers I have seen and was hoping for some advice! Thank you very much!

I would personally stay away from the Kodak line. They make some decent products but, most are a little bit Mickey Mouse if you know what I mean.......even the high end ones.
I like the Olympus C-750 but, my vote would have to go with finding a Canon G3 or G5 in that price range.
www.dpreview.com would have the best info and reviews on all the current (and not so current) models with actual user opinions on each camera.
