Ryebread....Question

I have a canon xl1 video camera that has the still photo button where when i am recording i can take a still on the video.Do you think i could then download this still photo to my puter.I don't have digital camera so i thought i would ask.:) .Thanks Chris

You might be able to. Depends on wheather you can go through a USB port or an IEEE 1394 FireWire connection. If the photos are being stored on the actual DV tape......that might be a little more tricky.
The pics won't be any good for printing but, might look okay on a screen.

Thanks Rye.I'm not even sure if i can figure out how to do it but I would try this using the firewire from the photo on the dv tape.I was hoping this would work so i could post pics here.I wasn't concerned about printing any of them.Do you think it would be worth the time or should i just wait for a digital camera?Thanks again.

Can't hurt to try. Just make sure that if you are able to extract the images........you must save them as a jpg.
