I use the cprbac pac 2 r on my 55.....its done a fine job.....what specific questions do you have....I'll try to help.......basically just hang it on the back of your tank and turn it on......may require a little adjustment using the small valve on the air line.......the manufacture of this skimmer has their own web site that answers questions about problems with there equipment.....I've refered to it a few times..............hope this helps ya a little

Thanks for your reply,I was just wondering how to set it and adjust it, I do not have the air valve so I will use a screw to try to get it to work right. Can you give some hints as to that web sight. Thanks again

Actually I've removed the small adjustment screw on mine..........and its working fine......seldom any bubbles in the tank and I empty about 1/2 cup of nasty scum once a week.........the maker of your skimmer.....CPR.....has a site to help with your problems..........did you buy this used.............are there any lfs around you that handle this line of products.........go to google search for cpr skimmers...should find tons of info.....actually posting links to other sites is not allowed here.......try some searches and good luck to ya......

CPR Bak-Pak's are pretty easy to set up.
Hang it on tank.
Position the Rio on the inlet tube.
Fill the skimmer with some tank water.
Plug it in and it should start working.
Slip the large rubber 0-ring over the skimmer cup and position the ring so the bottom of the skimmer cup is about 1/8 inch into the foamy bubbles in the water column.
After a week or so you can begin to play with the position of the cup/o-ring to get either a drier skimmate ( raise the cup ) or wetter skimmate ( lowering the cup )
I run mine wide open and removed the screw as well. If it is too loud for your liking, you can remove the hose that comes with it and get a long length of airline tubing, attache the little air muffler on the end and stick it under your cabinet.
Good luck b2o2b2 ;)
