i recently purchased a sabae anemone...the first night it opened up on top of this rock and it has been there since for a day or two...it has spread out prolly about six inches in diameter and all the tentacles are large around the mouth but as you look towards the outside of the anemone the tentacles are fewer and not as full...is this normal...or is something wrong with it? i tried to feed it some mysis shrimp but it did not close up on it like the carpet anemone did on the food when my lfs fed theres....when spot feeding should i feed directly into its mouth?

how is the coloring of the anenome ?if its not closing up around the food it may have lost its stickiness.when mine did this. i used a spyringe i took from a test kit.i fed the anenome 2-3 times per day with cyclopseze about 1 mil each feeding by gently inserting the tip into the mouth opening and slowly fed it to the sebae .this proccess took about 6 months to get it able to feed itself. then I added phlankton to its diet with the cyclopseze. as it gets better its tentcles will be more prominent also be sure your seabae has a good water flow(not pounding on it ) and Mh lighting.if you dont have MH it wont survive.
