Well I am sad today because I had to get rid of one of my Clowns. My Maroon Clown was getting beat up by my Percula and his fins were being torn to shreds. I was advised to get rid of him and did so. I really liked that fish he was beautiful. On the lighter side I guess he has a better home by himself at a friends house in a 75 Gallon with a Tang. :(

Thats funny right now in my 30 gl tank i have an occelaris clown and a tomato clown and there is no fighting wutsoever. The ocelaris has the left side of the tank and the tomato has the right side with his bulb anemone. Sry that u had to get rid of ur maroon clown tho they are really a neat fish. ~RYAN~

not, actually funny,
or even odd, normally this does happen with clowns, although, i would have expected it to be the other way around, most hobbyists encounter this probelm with clowns, normally do fine for a while, but after a while they get to be a problem together(even in some larger tanks and sometimes a long while), sometimes we do have success though,
this is why when we do make a choice to to attempt things, we must be ready for problems b/c you never know for sure when(or actually if) it will happen
rock, sorry to hear about your problems, but i do agree he must be happier now though(good choice, saving him)

The funny part is like I said before my Clarkii and Percula love each other. Go figure. <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />

we have a maroon and a percula in our 55 gal and when we first got the maroon the percula nipped of some of his fin but now they get along fine and his fin has grown back.

Man, that's not cool! I saw that you were using a 50/50 bulb. How did that work with the anemonies. I have always heard about the double strip light. Does the 50/50 bulb work? If so, it could be a little cheaper.

I think I made a misteke when changing my profile I am running a 18,000k light that is high in the blue spectrum.
