Looking for info on a salfin tang.Would like to add one to my tank.
Could someone tell me how there temperment is towards other tangs?
Will be the first one in the tank.

What size tank do you have? Sailfins can get pretty big. I wouldn't put it with other similiar shaped species(yellow or purple). HTH

I have one with a naso in a 125. They get along fine. Play tug of war with nori but that's about it. They should not be placed with other tangs of their shape as stated so no yellows, purples etc.
They're a great fish and are quick to spread their fins to look larger than they really are. Here's mine with naso and other friends.

I have a sailfin as well. He is in a tank with two other tangs (hippo and yellow). At first the yellow and the sailfin didn't get along, the yellow was definitely the aggressor. I had the yellow in the tank first and then added the sailfin. After a few days the yellow settled down and left the sailfin alone. The sailfin I have is very peaceful and doesn't bother any of the other fish in the aquarium. They do grow pretty rapidly though.
