salinity of 1.30 help!

Went to test the water today and got a salinity of 1.30. I did a water change yesterday. Don't know how this happened level was 1.26 last week. Can you guys and gals help me lower this so their are no losses. Thanks for the help.

do u top off ur tank regularly? u can do a water chng to slowly bring it down. the new water u add, hv it at around 1.023. that way, it will dilute the overall sg.

I top of when the water level starts to drop, but i dont have a set schedule. The water that i have available is at 1.025. Will that help at all.

Just do a water change.....You don't want to top off the tank with nothing but fresh RO water.....What are you using to measure your salinity of your water change water?

I know this has been said in this thread but a thread some time ago had a guy doing top offs with salt water. Make sure when you top off due to evaporation the water is FRESH. Salt doesn't evaporate.
