Sally light foot!

I bought a sally light foot the day i got my new clown fish. The fish is doing fine, but the very next day the sally light foot is dead. I don't know what could have happened??? My water parameters are as follows : ph 8.3 to 8.4 , amonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 5 - 10
also .. if ever, how long does it take for for my new clown to go to the anemone???

Are you sure it is dead???Most crabs will molt,or shed thier skin soon after being put into a new tank.Then they will hide out for a day or two till thier new/soft shell hardens a bit...I am hoping that this is what happened,but if not,sorry for your loss.

The sally light foot with my experience leaves the best most perfect looking molting. It stays solid color, doesn't whiten, and you can't even tell where the crab came out at. It is hopefully just a molding in your case.

to answer the one persons question about the clown and anemone .. perc clown .. true and carpet anemone
as for the crab.. well he looked dead.. i took a net and poked at him.. didn't move a bit... so i took him out.. could the shell look just like the crab?? he was missing a claw i realized

Was the shell hollow or still have meat in it?
