Does anyone have a good method of getting salt creep off of the acrylic covering the lights? The lighting in my tank is getting slightly dull from the salt crust building up.

I just screw mine off every month or so and wipe in down as tuningvis said. Just make sure if you use a cleaning agent like windex that you rince it with water. I also wipe the outside off whenever I have the hood up.

I always used a bit of vinegar ,and warm water solution. Just wet a wash cloth, and wiped clean let dry before turning on :D .

I use the vinegar-water method at work while cleaning the glass on freshwater tanks, but I wasn't sure if this was safe for saltwater. I'm paranoid :)
Thanks though, I'll use the vinegar and unscrew the top every so often :)
