salt on the mouth

my yellow tang looks like he has salt on his mouth how can i treat this i have a 75 gallon fowlr, i do not have a q tank

I have a yellow tang also. She has red "lipstick" on for 2 weeks now. I posted a forum in here about a week ago. Sorry but nobody really had an answer.

terry i am in trouble,my lfs sold me this tang after my tank was running for only 2 weeks along with 2 damsels i got a week before that, i am new to this and now after being here for a month have learned first to find a new lfs,well duh i now know it was too soon for the tang, whatg can i do to help him out he also has ick and i have no q tank, it is a 75 fowlr and has been running for about a month help

for what it's worth, my tang's mouth is bach to normal. It was proberly stress like terry said.
As for your problem, i would treat with with hypo. If your tank has been running for 2 weeks, it may not have cycled completly.
This means water changes and keeping a close eye on parameters.
Please get a qt tank. I only bougt one when I needed it and it was too late. live and learn.

yes i have a tetra test kit but i need to get a q tank with heater and filter and all,hypo ok i bring it down to 1.009 over 48 hours right?
