Salt Ratio

I need to do a water change and I have some instant ocean in a ziplock bag and i dont know how much to add per gallon. Can someone help me

15 # bag makes 50 gallons so 0.3# of salt per a gallon of water.

1 cup of salt per 2 gallons makes 1.025 SG
...give or take...

My Instant Ocean bag says 1/2 cup per gallon. I'm not sure what SG that makes. I always start out with a little and raise it form the starting point to my SG.
