salt water plants

i recently bought some new salt water plants and now they are turning brown.
Question can i add fertilizer tablets same as fresh water to stimulate their growth. Without harming snails and lionfish?

What kind of lighting do you have? Plants should be in a refuge which is a smaller tank, it can be a small hang on fixture that goes into your tank, to seperate the plants from the rest of your aquatic life that will devour them. Aquatic plants are photosynthetic, they need adequate lighting to survive.
