I use reef crystal salt. Sometimes when I mix the salt in water it will not dissolve, does anyone know why? Does the salt go bad if it gets old? Thanks

are you dumping it in slowly or all at once. often if you dump the salt in all at once chemical concentrations go out of whack and you tend to get precipitation that wont dissolve.

After time salt can go bad if not stored properly.Make sure that after you are done using salt, close the bag op as tight as possible as salt takes in moisture from the air very fast.If moisture gets into the dry salt,it changes the chemical concentrations and will not disolve well.
