I just purchased a Coral Beauty Angel fish and have had it for almost 48 hours now.I VERY slowly acclimated it to my tank, within minutes it was swimming all around and full of life. When I bought it, it was perfect no blemishes, damaged fins,or cloudy eyes.Yesterday these small white raised spots appeared on one side of its body. The part that puzzels me is it still swims all around the tank, stands up for its established territory, and dosen't act sick in the least. The color of the fish is still bright as can be and has no problem picking the algea off the live rock and munching on some greens I've put in for it to eat.

I would say sick. It might take a week for the symptoms to take place. You should really try this at the deseases and treament forum for the best answer. I would move it myself, just I don't know how. How do you move this?

Reefman....sounds like a possible case of ick.. I had the same situation shortly after adding a coral beauty to my reef. For a major ick problem I would suggest you visit the disease and treatment forum. The folks there definitely know their stuff. For minor problems such as the one I had...try garlic. I used that method on mine and the problem was taken care of. Matter of fact I continue to use garlic now and then to boost the immune systems of my fish and to prevent future ick problems. I'm short on time or I'd go into detail on how I used garlic...try a search for "garlic" on the search feature above....tons of useful info out there. Coral beauties are known for problems of this nature.........
