hi i wanted to know what the purpose of roller guides are, for party boating would it be nescesary

If you're referring to the rollers on the eyes of the fishing rod, no they're not neccessary on party boats. They're supposed to prevent the line from getting frayed as it runs through the eyelets of the rod .... rarely used these days from what I've seen now that they have special finishes coating the eyelets to prevent friction.

kk cause i was looking at some penn combos and most of them had the rods with roller guides

For a boat pole they're OK, but not neccessary.
