not sammy but, can i help?
a detrivore kit is a package of small critters that eat the left over garbage and fish waste to help keep the tank clean naturally
it often consists of worms, and snails and some star fishes as wellll as maybe some cucumbers

thanks fshhub. Never heard of the clean up crew called that before. learn something new everyday. how about this question.Adding ls to an all argonite dsb.is this practical.I mean it shouldn't make a difference right? agonite and live sand living together ( mass histaria )lol. Argonite is different than sand . Any how congrats on becoming a shark!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

actually they are not the clean up crew, some of the crew clean up algae(like hermits) and are not really considered part of a detrivore kit(dets actuall focus on the detritus)
tanks for the congrats
and ls is aragonite, but cc is also, aragonite is the composition of the sand, and cc which is often referred to as aragonite is a much larger grain, if it is smaller grain arag, then they definitely will mix well, since most ls is arag too and if not, then it really does not matter, different sands will mix fine with out problems(so long as they are marine safe) and the ls is just snad and bacteria wiht maybe some critters in it, so go ahead and add smoe(especially if the arag you have is not cc)
