sand bugs

I recently spotted some strange looking bugs in my sand. They look like sand colored, small centipedes with a curved shape tail. They go under the shells, live rock or anything near when I turn on the light. First of all what are they? Second are they bad for my tank and if so how do I get rid of them? Thanx

They sound kinda like bristle worms to me but from what i understand they are usually highly colorful......and as far as i know they arent really harmful but dont try to pick one up because they sting

They are COPA PODS. They are all over your tank. At night when the lights are out, shine a flash light on different spots of your gravel bed and you should see them everywhere. If anything these little guys a beneficial and will eat tiny bits of waste. They should only get a few millimeters long which makes them almost invisable in the day time. If you have fish that tend to stay at the bottom of the tank like Mandarins they will use them as food. Hope that answers your question.
