Sand Choices for DSB

OK, i've decided on a skimmer and lighting (man was that difficult). Now I am learing about sand.
Anyway, I have read a lot about Southdown's sand and have not been able to find it in Texas. I know I can buy it online.
I have also been looking at Seaflor special Grade Reef Sand. This can be seen at the product catalog at www.*********.com.
I have also been looking at Seaflor's Aragamax Sugar-Sized Sand. The difference between this and the above is the grain size. The Aragamax is .2-1.2 and the Special grade is 1.0 - 1.7.
I am confused because I have heard the sugar size has a tendancy to drift too much and even float around if the current is too high. However, the Specal grade is actually not much smaller size than the 1/2" cc I currently have in my tank and people say that cc is so bad.
Any suggestions or preference you can give me?

Hi, we use the sugar size and its great, and the cc as you have read can give you problems, thats why we changed to 5 in DSB and nitrates are LOOOOOOW and we like the look of it, as for the blowing around are clown will swish it up, also are snowflake, but it goes up and then right back down, and we have lots of current, no dead spots.

I recommend Seaflor special reef sand. Its the recommend size by the experts. I had to edit your post since LINKS to competitors sights are not authorized on this BB.

bbrook,
Hey, I'm in tx too....just called today about that Southdown sand that is sold in some Home Depot's....well, not in Tx anyway! The lady said it was $12/bag....and at 50lbs/bag I didn't even ask what shipping was! Would have been like $35-40/bag after shipping! Forget that!
:)
