I have a 60 gal aquarium with 60lbs of live rock and 30 lbs of sand. I check the water everyweek and for the past few months I have elevated Nitrate between 20-40ppm......I've tried feeding less and everyother day....nothing happened....i do water changes every 2 weeks.....nothing happened.....so i want to add more sand now but i'm wondering if i add sand(Argonite bag from the fish store) will it start a cycle in my tank??
