sand help

hey a friend of mine told me about deep sand bed plenum. I did a little research on it but couldn't quite understand. Can any experts explain this to me and how to go about creating one, thanks

There is a lot of info on-line about that type filtration system...basically it is a sand bed with a area under it...sort of like a under gravel freshwater filtration system...lots of reports of success with them. I prefer a standard DSB myself.....to each their own. I'd suggest some basic research on assorted filtration systems and decide which may be best for your application.:thinking:
