Sand maintenance with plate coral?

This may be a noob question, but hey, what are forums for, right? But anyway, the CUC is supposed to keep the sand bed moving and turning over, but how is this supposed to happen if you have something like a plate coral on the sand bed? Do you move it every so often?

Depends on what type of CUC you have, not all stirs up sand. As for the plate it will move it self it wants to and algae will not grow under it, no need to move it.

I wouldn't worry too much. I've seen my nassarius snails crawl under my ricordias to get to trapped food, etc on the sand bed. I just let things be.
