Sand question

I got my new sand today that is a super fine size (.2 to 1.22 mm grain size and want to make sure this is the right size for a DSB. It says on the bag that it is for a shallow bed. Thoughts

it will work fine. all that was meant to relate is the fact that with finer grains there is more compaction, so you can accomplish the de-nitrification process with less depth. more on top wont hurt.
