Has anyone ever bought these crabs? I am just curious because I have never seen anything like them before.

I grew up on the beach in Santa Monica California.
These are the same crabs you can catch if you dig down into the sand as the wave goes out.
The bury themselves into your sand bed. You never see them.
If you have a shallow sandbed or use crushed coral then don't get them, they will become fish /hermit crab food.
