sand

Would just like to know how you all keep your sand so nice and white?
I have crushed coral in my tank, I don't mind it but it sure looks dirty looking until I do my water changes and vacum it the it is nice and white again. Am I doing something wrong or don't have the right cleaners in there.
I have 4 snails only with two ocellaris clowns. Got rid of my crabs and shrimp as they ate my mushrooms and dusters.

Well cc is a large size substrate so debris will find a place to stay.
Many will say to switch to ls.
That way the debris stays on top and ussually floats away to the filter with enough gph flow.
Scarlet hermits do a good job cleaning the sand.
Not sure if anything cleans cc thoroughly.
You could just do smaller water changes more often.
If it is an algea issue a uv would help.

I suggest to switch to Live Sand. I made the change a few weeks ago and I love it. Just search for "CC or LS??" I'm sure you will find that many people suggest making the switch as well.
