I am thinking about buying a 55 gallon tank and i want to estimate the total cost of the tank and supplies. How much would all the live sand be and how many pounds would i need.Please respond

60lbs at like 35-55 per 20lbs bag.

wow you paid that much must be cheap here in florida. I paid about a dollar a pound at the lfs for dry aggonite though. He might be talking live sand

I got 40lbs of black pacific live sand from carribsea. I used dry aragonite in my 90 and it is just as good. It will become live eventually.

No need to waste money on "live sand". Get yourself a big bag of dry Aragonite and some high quality lr..
