sand

hello all
I have a grayish color growing on sand, Could this be from over feeding? If not what is it?
also i have a 75 gal tank reef.
with
3 damsel
1 tang
1 sail fish
1peperment shrimp
1 puffer fish
how much should i feed

could be algae - IMO , get a clean up crew , hermits , snails this should help keep it cleaner . how many hours a day do you run the lights ?
I feed every other day and just enough that they eat it all . keep the powerheads off so it doesn't blow around the tank . then turn the phs back on when finished . fish have small belly's so it doesn't take much .
try seaweed select on a veggie clip for your tang , they seem to love the stuff . make sure and take out whatever they don't eat in a few hours . also garlic soaked brine seem to be a favorite ..
