Sand?

What's up with the sand thing? I saw some "live" sand in bags at *****(20Ilbs for 25$). Is this a good deal? What's southdown sand? How many pounds would ou prefer for a 29 gallon tank???

the sand in the bags is live sand, its just not as alive as some! they claim to pack it in some special formula that keeps it alive longer. but it is always wet. it takes a little longer to cycle, but if you put lr on it it should be fine.

Pet-Co does sell a variable of live sand. They class it as Aragonite and I bought some myself for filler. It works ok for me.
