I have a 90 gal reef and jumping up to a 125gal.
whats a good sand to use with paying the high price from my lfs?

Belleville MI? You should be able to get Yardright playsand that is the perfect stuff. Might be as high as 10.00 per pound which is about double what they sell it for on the east coast but still half what your LFS is going to charge you.
I believe the place is in Portage Michigan, just south or part of K-zoo. Believe the place was called the Reef Shop. Do a web search.
Check with local, Lowes or Home Depots first and see if they have any sand that goes by the name Southdown, Yardright or Old Castle first.

Thanks for the help.I'll look tomarow I've looked for southdown before.But I will check on the others.

Ah jeeze, I meant to say 10.00 dollars a bag not pound. Excuse me and my old achey fingers. Yardright as I recall, (I still have three bags) is 40 pounds per bag.
